The HTC J Butterfly was introduced for KDDI in Japan and this Android superphone is the world's first major device that sports a 5-inch, 1080p display. Look for this phone to land in the United States in the not-too-distant future.?
According to Engadget, the HTC J Butterfly's 5-inch screen is being made by Sharp and JDI and it sports an impressive, 440 pixels per inch. For some reason, the incredible Retina Display?on the iPhone has 326 pixels per inch. The 1080p screen also means you'll be able to get full HD content in your pocket.?
It's not just the display, as the HTC J Butterfly also sports a 1.5GHz Snapdragon processor, an 8-megapixel camera, 2GB of RAM, 16GB of internal storage, Bluetooth 4.0, microSD expansion slot and all the other goodies you'd expect from a high-end smartphone. ?
While we generally don't pay too much attention to phones that launch in Japan because many stay there, there's a good chance that the HTC J Butterfly will be coming to the United States soon. We've seen rumors?that this type of device will land on Verizon before the end of the year and look for the HTC superphone to come with 4G LTE.?
