People spend so lavishly on weddings these days. This was not the case a decade or two. Weddings the world over have seen a kind of monetary splash in everyone's life. Today, people travel far more frequently for business, pleasure, education and employment. And as costs for weddings have increased, so have more and wealthier people are looking for exotic locales not only for honeymoons but for wedding destinations. Attribute it to rapid globalization or just to fill their albums with exotic locations, people are opting for what are called Destination Weddings.
A destination wedding is a wedding away from the homes and city of dwelling of both the bride and bridegroom. And these places could be in exotic Hawaii or the snowiest slopes of Switzerland or at weekend getaways near city in oriental India. Couples who love to travel themselves, opt for destination weddings as it gives them a chance to make their wedding special and different at the same time. The gathering could be small or huge depending on your preference and whom you would like to invite for your big day; just close family members and loved ones or friends and colleagues too.
Destination weddings give a wonderful opportunity for the couple, close family and friends to spend a few days together in exotic resorts with villas rather than just congregate in a marriage banquet hall. It gives a chance to both sets of families to acquaint with each other and to create memorable moments that would be cherished forever. The cost of a destination wedding is another reason couples may decide to plan one. If you have only a limited guest list and the location in the countryside then naturally your expenses would not be huge. But if you are going to say the beaches of Malibu, and your guest list is as long as the Nile then be ready to empty your pockets generously.
Depending on your interest and your budget, there's a destination for every couple. If you are a nature lover then you can book a resort for wedding reception, or if you are the beach bummer then a tropical beachside. Ensure that your big day doesn't get marred with under booking or grumpy guests. Book in advance so that you get a whole block reserved for you and your guests and you have a stress free destination wedding.
