Utah State's Gary Andersen, who will be announced as the new head football coach at Wisconsin, arrived in Madison on Wednesday.
A private plane carrying Andersen landed at Wisconsin Aviation just after 3 p.m. Wednesday.
With blizzard warnings issued for Thursday, the University of Wisconsin has decided to hold the news conference to introduce Andersen on Friday instead of Thursday.
Andersen will succeed Bret Bielema, who left Wisconsin to become the head coach at Arkansas.
Andersen was at Camp Randall last September, coaching Utah State against Wisconsin. The Aggies almost beat the Badgers but missed a 37-yard field goal in the final seconds, giving Wisconsin a 16-14 win.
Andersen has been head coach at Utah State for four seasons, and every year his record has improved. This year, Utah State went 11-2 and won the Famous Idaho Potato Bowl against Toledo, the first bowl win in 19 years.
