El Paso-area law enforcement officials are asking for help in finding a former Eastwood High School coach and teacher suspected of having an improper relationship with a student.
The search for the coach, Christopher Miranda, 24, is the focus of this week's Manhunt Monday fugitive profile.
Officials said Miranda is wanted on three counts of improper relationship between educator and student, and two counts of sexual assault of a child. They believe Miranda is still in the area and hiding from law enforcement.
A spokeswoman with the Ysleta Independent School District said Monday that after administrators were notified about the charges, Miranda was immediately placed on administrative leave, and police and Child
Protective Services were notified. Miranda has since resigned from the district.He is described as 5 feet, 9 inches tall, 180 pounds with brown hair and eyes and a medium build.
Anyone with information on his whereabouts is asked to call Crime Stoppers of El Paso at 566-8477. Callers will remain anonymous and may be eligible for a cash reward if their information leads to Miranda's arrest.
Ysleta district officials said they continue to cooperate with law enforcement in the investigation.
