Sony said that hackers have gained access to about 400 names and email addresses of its mobile customers in China and Taiwan from servers operated by third party vendors.
A group calling itself "Null\Crew" said it had attacked a mobile communications server and gained control of the company's eight servers.
Null\Crew reportedly has connections to international computer hacking group Anonymous.
The company's information was taken from at least one server run by a third-party service provider based in China.
Sony spokesman Hiroshi Okubo said the company is still investigating the details of the breach, but it appears no servers were compromised.
In April this year, Sony's 100 million accounts were stolen from its databases and the company closed several networks for a month and a half.
The company suspended 93,000 user accounts in October last year on several of its gaming and entertainment networks due to a large number of unauthorized login attempts on those accounts.
Prior to the latest hacking, Sony's websites were also hacked in the countries like Greece, Thailand and Indonesia.
In June last year, hacker group known as LulzSec had attacked over one million passwords, email addresses and other information from SonyPictures.com.
